Wednesday noon we picked up our RV and hit the road.
Two hours' driving out of Las Vegas the desert-scape became more interesting and varied.
By early evening we arrived at Sand Hollow State Park near Hurricane, Utah.
We managed to see the full moon rising, had an improvised dinner and hit the sacks.
Thursday began very early and after the morning moonset we headed north bound for Zion Canyon.
Just before Zion, we stopped to take in the awesome scenery.
At the parking lot we met two quadrupeds:
A lazy lizard of local provenance ...
... and a dashing Dachshund from Iowa.
Zion Canyon is absolutely a must-see. We were blessed with superb weather and have spent six hours today hiking amongst the most stunning mountains of various colors and shapes.
After a meatloaf and cheesecake dinner we're about to call it "a day".
Tomorrow we will be heading out of Zion valley through the tunnel and steam towards Bryce Canyon farther into Utah. – Stay tuned.
